October 17th 2013
On the September 10th fitness test I completed 16 push-ups, 30 curl-ups and 96 steps at 190bpm on the 3 minute step-up test. In contrast, on the October 2nd fitness test I completed 18 push-ups, 35 curl-ups and 96 steps at 180bpm on the 3 minute step-up test.
I improved in every aspect of the fitness assessment. This is due to the fact that I pushed myself to make sure I would improve. In addition, my improvement on the step test can be credited to the fact that we had to do step-ups everyday day for our warm-up at an increased number which differed from the set number we had to do before the September 10th assessment. Our upperbody exercises and the fact that we started doing push-ups in our regular workout helped me improve in my push-up test. My improvement in the curl-up exercise can be attributed to the fact that I tried to push myself even when I started to get fatigued.
I did try my best and to improve even more I can start doing these exercises regularly at home. I could run on the treadmill in my house to improve my cardio which would in turn lower my heartrate during the step-up test. I could also improve by doing more sets in my regular workout than what is required.
